Military Missions in Action.

Military Missions in Action (MMIA) helps veterans with disabilities achieve independent living, while supporting our service men and women serving in combat areas and their families. MMIA was founded in the State of North Carolina in 2007.

The primary focus of MMIA is to provide home modification services to disabled veterans, allowing them to live independently. Services are not restricted to those injured in combat nor is it restricted to disabled veterans from the most recent combat conflicts. MMIA has assisted veterans from the current conflict back to World War II.

In 2015, for every $1.00 donated, $.97 went directly to projects benefiting veterans. From inception through 2015, Through the generosity of donors and volunteers, MMIA has :

  • Completed 300 projects
  • Shipped over 30,000 care packages to our men and women serving overseas
  • Provided furniture and household goods to 124 previously homeless veterans
  • Assisted over 24,000 homeless veterans with health and hygiene items and seasonal clothing
  • Provide 2,400 golf clubs to military installations for their Wounded warrior programs.

House-Autry Mills is proud to be a sponsor of the MMIA fund raiser golf tournament and a supporter of our veterans.
